Complexica Pty Ltd, a leading provider of Artificial Intelligence software for optimising sales, marketing, & supply chain decisions, announced today that the company's CEO – Matt Michalewicz – joined Dr Ross Farrelly, IBM's Director of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence to present on the subject of applied AI across two cities in Australia on the 20th and 21st of August.
Matt's keynote focused on explaining the major research areas of Artificial Intelligence, and how the entire field is an attempt to replicate biological processes found in nature. He provided a business perspective of what algorithms are and how they work, followed by real-world examples and case studies of applying Artificial Intelligence to various business functions such as sales, marketing, and supply chain, and the results that can be achieved.
Dr Ross Farrelly is the Director of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, and his talk provided an overview of IBM's long history with Artificial Intelligence, how the field has evolved, and IBM's innovations along the way. He provided a view into the research and development of Artificial Intelligence that IBM is currently working on, along with IBM's "Ladder to AI" approach of embedding AI within organisations.
